As we reported previously, former WWE sports entertainer Shane “Dean” Douglas was attributed to have made some very silly comments about TNA Wrestling’s business decisions. Well if the latest quotes on the net are true the former “star” is either in search of some cheap heat, or so out of the loop he is grasping for straws.
Speaking with Inside The Ropes, Shane was asked about TNA’s creative direction and he responded, “I look at Dixie’s dressing room and you have Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, they had Petey Williams. I’m a mark for those guys. That said, I’m anything but a mark…. I’m a critic for the way that talent has been used. I hope that in a year from now, I’ll be able to say I’m booking for the Bobby Roodes, AJ Styles and Samoa Joes as opposed to having to sit back and watch them being mis-used by a company that just doesn’t get it.”
Douglas obviously has not watched the product in awhile as Roode is World Champion and Joe has had a very successful run as World Tag Champion. What is even sadder is that these shows he is on do not call him on it. Hopefully someday Douglas comes to terms with the fact he never made it and can have some peace.
Joe Vincent says
I laughed out loud reading this one. Did this guy really say that he was waiting for a day when these guys are used correctly? Does he know that AJ Styles is wrestling against the best wrestler on the planet at the next pay-per-view? And that Bobby Roode is being built as one of the biggest heel champions in recent history? Or that the end result of Samoa Joe’s losing streak last summer was him becoming one-half of a very popular World Tag Team championship team? What a stooge.
