The United Kingdom’s Sun newspaper is among many sources reporting that Christopher Daniels returned to TNA Wrestling during this past Monday night’s iMPACT! tapings. According to the various reports, Daniels wrestled as Suicide because of a deal reached with ROH that allows him to wrestle dates for TNA Wrestling so long as he wrestles underneath a mask.
Here is the report as it appeared in The Sun. Enjoy!
CHRISTOPHER DANIELS has returned to TNA Wrestling — under a mask.
During his time in TNA — which ended earlier this year — Daniels played three characters, himself, Suicide and Curry Man.
After he leaving, Chris immediately signed a contract with rival firm Ring Of Honor, which should have precluded a return.
However the two grapple groups have come to an agreement, meaning Daniels CAN work for TNA — as long as he’s hidden behind the Suicide or Curry Man masks.
The Wrestling Globe reports: “Christopher Daniels worked as Suicide last night at the TV tapings but is still under contract to ROH.
“The deal is ROH allowing him to take TNA dates but only if he works under a mask, meaning the revival of the Suicide and Curry Man characters.”
Daniels was hugely popular with TNA fans in his previous run, enjoying five star outings with Samoa Joe and AJ Styles.
