Last Friday, Eric Bischoff spoke with Total Nonstop Podcast – a feature sponsored by Spike TV. Total Nonstop Podcast talks about the latest and greatest in TNA Wrestling and last week they talked with Bischoff about the hostile takeover storyline. However, during the discussion (which begins right in the first minute of this podcast), Bischoff begins talking about the viewing habits of today’s wrestling fans in that they are used to short-term storylines with a three week story and a blow off at the pay-per-view followed by a three week story and another blow off, etc.
Bischoff talks about the complications of turning Jeff Hardy heel as well as how he used to criticize WWE’s formula for not encouraging their roster to embrace the role of playing the heel. On this topic, he mentions how both he and Hulk Hogan know how to play the role of being a real heel in professional wrestling. He even commented that there are people that really want to kick his ass and that’s the quality that a heel should have on the card.
