TNA has the chance to do something really big with the addition of Mick Foley.
Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, and Booker T are some of the bigger names that have left WWE for TNA. While all three performers received great reactions out of the gate, they quickly fell into the category of just “another TNA wrestler.”
TNA needs to look at what WCW did back when Scott Hall made his debut on Monday Night Nitro when they first formed the NWO. I’m really curious how no one in TNA thought of this idea yet and incorporated it into their storylines. Forget about those corny VKM skits on WWE. Do you really want to fuck with the WWE? Do you really want to get people talking? Do you really want to slap the taste out of Vince McMahon’s mouth? Do you really want to get those WWE fans to give your product a try?
Mick Foley’s first time on TNA television should go something like this:
Foley enters the Impact Zone and thanks everyone backstage and all of the fans for having him in TNA. He says he’s so happy to no longer be a part of the WWE and he can finally be himself in TNA. He says he hated the WWE and everyone that was associated with it. He says he didn’t care about all of the money that he was making there either; as all the money in the world wouldn’t have made him happy. He then says if anyone believes that they are an idiot!
If his delivery of this is done right, and there is no question it would be, it would feel as though time has stood still for TNA performers and fans.
Foley says he’s sick and tired of everyone saying how great TNA is and how great of a place it would be for Foley to go to. Foley says the money TNA offered him to leave WWE and come there was like comparing a prime rib steak to a piece of shit. Foley says the only way you can be a star in this business is by being in the WWE.
He says that he’s the final part of a long term plan he created to destroy TNA.
He says he’s been WWE Champion. He says he’s been a WrestleMania main eventer. He says he’s been a number one best selling author. He says he’s stood tooth to nail against the likes of Rock, Stone Cold, Triple H, Ric Flair, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and every other top name to have ever stepped foot in this business. He says he’s done it all in the wrestling business.
Foley says he then thought of something he’s never done before. He’s never put a wrestling company out of business before. He says he thought to himself if he could do that, that would even one up Triple H marrying Vince McMahon’s daughter.
He decided right then and there he was going to come up with a plan to kill TNA.
Christian Cage’s music hits. Cage comes out and says he came to TNA as a spy for Mick Foley, to supply information to him so he can begin doing the ground work for his master plan to destroy TNA.
Mick Foley announces he’s now the CEO of Sports Entertainment Superstars and Christian is his first star.
Foley say he’s going to be the one to compete against Vince McMahon, not TNA. Foley says he’s already signed several superstars to his new company and they will help him destroy TNA once and for all so he can be the only person in the wrestling business to compete with Vince McMahon, which is something else he’s never achieved before in this business.
Foley says that this has been his master plan for four years now. He says much like how America was attacked on 9/11 and never saw it coming, neither would TNA. Foley says he sent his performers to TNA little by little, so it wasn’t too obvious.
Christian says “Do you really think I wanted to leave the WWE for this place?”
Foley introduces two more members of Sports Entertainment Superstars, Team 3D.
Team 3D says it made them sick to their stomachs having to call themselves TNA wrestlers. They said they went from wrestling WrestleMania TLC matches against Hardy Boys and Edge & Christian to wrestling against Shark Boy and Curry Man in a fish match. They said they couldn’t wait until Foley’s contract expired to seal the deal on their take over.
Booker T comes out next. Booker says when Foley first sat him down and talked to him about this plan to destroy TNA, the decision was a no brainer for Booker. Booker asked himself “Do I want to resign here and continue to play a cartoon king, or do I want to join Foley’s project to really achieve something major in the wrestling business; putting a wrestling company out of business and then compete against Vince McMahon?” Booker says he wanted to see what it would feel like to be Vince McMahon for a day and decided to be a part of Foley’s master plan.
Foley then introduces his star performer of Sports Entertainment Superstars, Kurt Angle.
Angle comes out and says he worked Vince McMahon into giving him his release so he could be a part of Foley’s plan to destroy TNA. He says he can’t believe Vince would let him out of his contract. Angle says that was the biggest mistake that Vince McMahon ever made. Angle says that Foley is a genius and it will be a matter of months before there is no longer a TNA. Angle say once TNA is gone, the SES will compete against
Vince McMahon like only his wrestlers know how to.
This could be the rebirth of the NWO/WCW angle that made the business so hot back in the late 90’s. When WWE fans hear that Mick Foley has put together a new promotion to destroy TNA consisting of himself, Kurt Angle, Team 3D, Booker T, and Christian Cage; they are going to say “Holy shit, I have to check this out.”
You can call it Sports Entertainment Superstars all you want, but to wrestling fans around the world they are going to look at it like “I can’t fucking believe this! WWE is invading TNA!”
They can also add new members to the group as well. There are many guys out there right now that aren’t under contract that would fit perfectly into Foley’s new group, including Bobby Lashley, Rob Van Dam, and even Joey Mercury or Nick Dinsmore. They can also add a few ladies to the group for the Knock Out division, including Cherry, Torrie Wilson, and Molly Holly. Imagine if they could get Trish Stratus or Lita? Imagine if they can get Ric Flair? This could be a RED HOT angle if it is done correctly.
Simply red hot.
TNA has the chance to one up the WWE. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT!
Or you can just put a sock on Foley’s head and call him The Masked Socko and have him dance around with Curry Man and Shark Boy to Jive Soul Bro.
The choice is yours.
