Back in 1999, The Dangerous Women of Wrestling operated live events as â€œG.L.O.O.W.â€ The Gorgeous Ladies of Oil Wrestling (take notice to the second â€œOâ€ for oil). In 2003, the prior ownership caught wind that the original â€œG.L.O.W.â€ (you remember the all Womenâ€™s promotion when you were growing up with all those great crotch shots and camera angles) was going to be resurrected as a Womenâ€™s Wrestling company. G.L.O.O.W. (with 2 â€œOâ€™sâ€) changed the company operating name to The Dangerous Women of Wrestling, which was only a natural transition for the company, as the theme song used since 2000 was appropriately titled â€œDangerous Women of Wrestlingâ€.
So where are we going with all this you ask?
Now in 2006, The Dangerous Women of Wrestling sign a National DVD distribution deal with Big Vision Entertainment (“Extremely Dangerous Women of Wrestling due out in stores Tuesday, September 5, 2006). However, the original â€œG.L.O.W.â€ signed a similar agreement with Big Vision Entertainment also.
