Smackdown for November 11th opened with the Tough Enough contestants assembled in the ring, with each dressed in a different gimmick (Santa Claus, cowboy, etc.) for the “Torrie Wilson Sex Test”. Al Snow hosted, along with Kim and Chris from the Tonight Show, who would be “calling the action”. We found out that Chris Nawrocki suffered a broken rib last week while wrestling Kurt Angle. Chris was given a chance to quit, but refused. Al Snow then informed Nick Mitchell (who was dressed as a cowboy with the rear end cut out of his jeans and the words “Big Time” written on his cheeks) that he had been cut. Mitchell then left the ring.
Torrie Wilson came out for the sex test. Torrie said each contestant would have 15 seconds to make out with a WWE Diva. Torrie wasted some time talking (and Chris sang to her), and then brought out Dawn Marie. Dawn flirted with some of the contestants. Torrie then revealed that the contestants weren’t making out with Dawn Marie tonight, and brought out Mae Young, who was accompanied by The Fabulous Moolah. Mae made out/jumped on each contestant. The contestants sold the kisses better than Big Show’s bodyslams. Mae decided that Daniel Puder was the best. His “prize” was a lap dance from Mae. And thus ended the first 17 minutes of Smackdown.
Backstage, Rey Mysterio went to find Chavo Guerrero for their tag team match. Chavo was yelling at someone in his dressing room, but when he came out to head to the ring, he told Rey he was just talking with “an old friend”.
Spike Dudley & Billy Kidman vs. Rey Mysterio & Chavo Guerrero. The announcers said that the other Dudleys were our recovering from Big Show destroying them last week. Chavo started off, and went after Kidman on the apron, allowing Spike to attack. Chavo mounted a comeback with a lariat and slam, then went to work on Spike’s arm. Chavo pulled Spike towards his corner, but Kidman wouldn’t tag in. Mysterio tagged in and got a two count on Spike with a legdrop. Spike came back with a double stomp and tagged in Kidman. Rey hit a top rope rana and tagged in Chavo. Spike ran in, and it allowed Kidman to dropkick Chavo. Spike tagged in and sent Chavo to the floor, so Kidman could ram him into the security wall. In the ring, Kidman applied a chinlock. Chavo eventually made the hot tag to Rey, who cleaned house on both opponents. Spike kept Rey for hitting a 619 on Kidman. Rey managed to stay one step ahead of Kidman and Spike, and Chavo came in to make it a four man brawl. Chavo backdropped Kidman from the ring. Chavo tripped Spike into the ropes, and gave Kidman a pescado. Rey gave Spike a 619 and a springboard splash for the pin at the five minute mark. Winners: Rey Mysterio & Chavo Guerrero.
Backstage, Orlando Jordan went up to Josh Mathews, and said he wanted to apologize for last week. Orlando said Josh earned his (and JBL’s) respect last week. Orlando wanted to shake Josh’s hand, but Josh wasn’t interested. Orlando slapped Josh across the face, and then backhanded him, before walking away.
After the break, we saw that Josh Mathews had a bloody nose from the slaps. Booker T and Josh told Smackdown General Manager Theodore R. Long that Mathews wanted a one-on-one match with Orlando Jordan (actually, Booker was pushing for it more than Josh). Josh said that Orlando would have JBL in his corner, so he wanted someone in his. Long saw where it was heading, and said Booker would be in Josh’s corner.
Backstage, Big Show and Rob Van Dam were talking about their Survivor Series match, but Eddie Guerrero seemed concerned. Eddie was worried about the person he had called to be the fourth member of their team. Van Dam was confident the person would call back, and that Kurt Angle wouldn’t like it when he found out who it is.
The Raw Rebound was shown.
Orlando Jordan, with John Bradshaw Layfield, vs. Josh Mathews, with Booker T. Josh still had blood on his face from earlier. Josh jumped on Orlando to start the match, but Jordan just sat him on the top rope. Josh went for a flying bodypress, but Jordan caught it. Josh floated over, hit a dropkick, and got quick two counts with a cradle and a La Magistral. Josh rolled out of the ring as Jordan stalked him around the ring. When Mathews got back into the ring, JBL tripped him. Jordan slapped Josh around and hiptossed him across the ring. Jordan chopped Josh in the corner and put him in a chinlock. Booker and JBL got into it on the floor, and Booker knocked him down with a superkick. In the ring, Josh reversed a cross bodyblock for a two count, but Jordan hit a clothesline. JBL got onto the apron, and as the referee tried to get him down, Booker ran in and shoved Jordan into the referee and JBL. Josh then hit Jordan with a lowblow, and Booker gave him an ax kick. Josh then covered Jordan for the pin at the three minute mark. Winner: Josh Matthews.
Eddie Guerrero & Rob Van Dam vs. Mark Jindrak & Luther Reigns. Carlito Caribbean Cool and Jesus came down to ringside before the match started and joined the announcers. RVD started off with Jindrak, and hit a split leg moonsault for two. Luther tagged in and worked over Van Dam, ramming him into a corner until RVD kicked him in the head and hit a corkscrew legdrop. Guerrero tagged in, and he and RVD hit a hilo/cartwheel splash combo. Guerrero hit Reigns with a dropkick and a vertical suplex. Reigns came back with a released gourdbuster and Jindrak clotheslined Guerrero from the outside as they went to break.
After the commercial, we saw that Carlito had spat apple at Michael Cole, since Cole “likes apples”. In the ring, Guerrerl battled back against Jindrak, hitting a flapjack and tagging RVD. Van Dam hit a series of kicks on Jindrak, then a monkeyflip. Carlito distracted RVD so Jindrak could dropkick him to the floor. Reigns tagged in and hit a backbreaker, then choked RVD against the ropes. Jindrak tagged in and hit some elbows, then did the old Rick Rude hip swivel. Guerrero eventually got the hot tag and it Jindrak with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors and Reigns with a dropkick. Van Dam hit Jindrak with Rolling Thunder while Guerrero gave Reigns the Three Amigos. Carlito got on the apron, and RVD dropkicked him, but missed a pescado. Jesus went after Eddie Guerrero, pulling him off the apron as he was going for a frog splash. Guerrero grabbed a chair, then tossed it to Jesus and laid down on the announcers table. The referee saw Jesus with the chair, thought Guerrero had been hit, and ordered Carlito and Jesus away from ringside. Back to the match, Guerrero gave Reigns and Jindrak a double DDT. Guerrero gave Reigns a frog splash, while RVD gave Jindrak his frog splash, and Eddie pinned Luther for the win at the fourteen minute mark. Winners: Eddie Guerrero & Rob Van Dam.
Eddie Guerrero got on the mic, as Carlito and Jesus, who were standing by the entrance, started to leave. Guerrero informed them that he got the phone call he had been waiting on. He told Carlito that he had his fourth member for Survivor Series, John Cena. Carlito was stunned and dumbfounded.
Carlito went to Theodore R. Long, complaining about John Cena being on Guerrero’s team for Survivor Series. Long shot down his complaints, and also revealed that the authorities had told him that while Carlito did leave the nightclub the night John Cena was stabbed before the incident took place, Jesus was in the club, and he had a “shady past”. Long ordered Carlito out of his office.
The Tough Enough segment from earlier was recapped, and the contestants were introduced again. Voting is on at WWE.com.
John Bradshaw Layfield was interviewed, saying he has always been ahead of Booker T, going back to when they got their starts in Texas. He said the only reason Booker T was ever WCW Champion was because he wasn’t in WCW. JBL said if he doesn’t beat Booker T at the Survivor Series, he will leave Smackdown. He guaranteed victory at the Survivor Series.
Michael Cole and Tazz reviewed Heidenreich’s attack of Charlie Haas from last week. Paul Heyman came out and started arguing with Michael Cole, who was saying that Heidenreich was crazy and should not be allowed to run free. Heyman got in Cole’s face, calling him a “wannabe JR” and shoving him into Tazz. Tazz got up, and Heyman slid into the ring. Heidenreich came out, and dared Tazz to get into the ring. Tazz started to sit down, then got up and took off his jacket and sunglasses. Tazz started to head up the ring steps, when the lights went out. When the lights came back on, Undertaker was standing in the ring, right in front of Heidenreich. Heyman pulled Heidenreich back and out of the ring, as Undertaker stared at them.
The Survivor Series card was reviewed.
The Big Show vs. Kurt Angle. Angle came out with his full Survivor Series team, as well as Jesus. Angle said that Jesus was an “alternate” for his team, if needed. Angle cut a promo on Show, saying John Cena wouldn’t be a hundred percent at Survivor Series, and after tonight “neither would” Show. However, Rob Van Dam and Eddie Guerrero came down to ringside for Show as they went to commercial.
Back from break, Angle tried to waistlock Show, who knocked him away with his rear end. Show chopped Angle in a corner, but was distracted by Jindrak. Show went after him on the floor, and Angle dove off the apron at Show. Show caught Angle and rammed him into a ringpost. In the ring, Show stood on Angle’s back. Show chopped Angle and straddled him over the middle rope. Show whipped Angle into a corner, but Angle came back with a dropkick to the leg. Angle jumped on Show’s back with a rear naked choke, and took him down to one knee. Show backed Angle into a corner to break the hold. Jindrak got on the apron, and Show hiptossed him into the ring. Guerrero pulled him out, setting off a brawl on the floor. Guerrero and RVD were outnumbered, and Carlito hit both of them with John Cena’s chain. In the ring, Angle put Show in an ankle lock, but Show kicked him away. Show headbutted Angle, hit a reverse splash in the corner, then did a Hulk Hogan impersonation before dropping a leg. Show set up for a chokeslam, but Jindrak and Reigns ran in and clipped his legs for the DQ at the five minute mark. Winner via DQ: The Big Show.
Jindrak and Reigns each put an armbar on Show, while Angle put Show in an ankle lock. After keeping the holds on for a minute, Kurt Angle’s team left the ring triumphant, while Show was down in the ring, and Guerrero & RVD were down on the floor. The announcers pointed out that John Cena would be back on Sunday at the Survivor Series to end the show.
