Monday night, TNA showed up in full force at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon along with NFL’s Tennessee Titans for a good cause.
The second annual Kyle Vanden Bosch Charity Event saw several amazing matches including a Titan lumberjack match where ten of Nashville’s finest lined the outside of the ring while TNA Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles took on “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe. The Titans, including Jevon Kearse, saw the TNA Champion defeat his former tag team partner and will this defeat lead Joe to a strong want to win on Sunday at Turning Point. This Sunday, Styles will defend his title against Samoa Joe and Daniels.
Beer Money and former Titan Frank Wycheck defeated the World Elite in a six man tag.
Wycheck wasn’t the only Titan that got into the matches. Vanden Bosch had words during the Scott Steiner vs. Bobby Lashley match. Steiner got on the wrong side of Vanden Bosch and then the wrong end of a spear from “The Boss”. This win for Lashley catapults him towards his match with the former Michigan alumni at Sunday’s pay-per-view.
In the Monster’s Ball match, Abyss took the win over Rhino when special enforcer and Titans quarterback Vince Young hit Rhino with a trash can.
Guest timekeeper Titans DE Williams Hayes sat ringside to see Tara defeat Velvet Sky. Tara goes to Turning Point to face off Awesome Kong in a Six Sides of Steel Cage Match.
Vanden Bosch evidentially had a busy night. He also aided Hernandez take a win over Kip James.
And in the opening match, Suicide got the win over Homicide and D’Angelo Dinero with Titans CB Courtland Finnegan as a special enforcer.
With all the generosity of TNA and the TNA fans, a check was presented to the Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee for $130,000.
