- WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is scheduled to make a guest appearance on the hunting television program Drop Zone TV sometime next year. The program debuts Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. ET on the Outdoor Channel. A press release was issued with the following noted: “This season, former WWE World Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin, will be in pursuit of his biggest whitetail ever, while comedian Killer Beaz adds his unique brand of comedy by making side-splitting commentary throughout many episodes of the show.”

As far as WWE is concerned, Austin is under what has been described as a “high money” contract to the company with no particular role attached. WWE feels even if they pay Austin to simply sit at home and collect royalties off of merchandise, it is worth the investment. However, more importantly, the contract prevents Austin from jumping to a competitor, notably, USA Network competitor Spike TV.

- In today’s wrestling birthdays, Jamie Noble turns 33, Juventud Guerrera turns 35 and Keiji Mutoh (a.k.a. The Great Muta) turns 47.

- Regarding Bret Hart’s impending WWE return, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter cites sources in saying Triple H’s political reaction will be “interesting to watch.” In the past, sources have said that Hunter has struggled to keep his poker face at the idea of Hart coming in, and now that it appears official, many are curious to see how diplomatic he will be.
