WWE Raw House Show Results – 4/19/09

1.) Kelly Kelly & Melina defeated Layla & Beth Phoenix (w/ Rosa Mendes) in 10 minutes. Kelly pinned Layla after a leg drop.

2.) The Miz defeated Charlie Haas in 7 minutes.

Miz pinned Haas after a side-on faceplant.

3.) William Regal defeated Goldust in 8 ½ minutes.

Regal pinned Goldust after a running knee.

4.) Kofi Kingston defeated Santino Marella in 8 minutes.

Kofi pinned Santino after the ‘Trouble in Paradise.’

5.) Carlito & Primo defeated Mike Knox & Kane in 10 ½ minutes to retain the WWE Unified Tag Team Championship.

Carlito pinned Knox after Kane chokeslammed and abandoned his own partner, in response to an inadvertent bicycle kick.

Undertaker’s gong sounded and some druids came out with a casket as his music played. Tony Chimel announced that WWE would be returning to Nottingham later this year for the Undertaker’s ‘Rest in Peace’ tour.

6.) CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho in 18 ½ minutes to retain the ‘Money in the Bank’ briefcase.

Punk pinned Jericho after the GTS. Match of the night, crowd really got into the match and the near-falls.

7.) Rey Mysterio & John Cena defeated Big Show & Edge in 15 ½ minutes.

Mysterio pinned Edge after a 619 and top-rope splash, as Cena simultaneously hit the Attitude Adjustment and covered Big Show.

John Cena was easily the most over babyface, while Mysterio, Punk & Kofi also received strong crowd reactions. Jericho definitely had the most heel heat, with Edge probably inciting the second loudest negative response. Overall, a really good show, especially Punk vs. Jericho which I thought was a great match.
