The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that it doesn’t appear WWE will be holding a Diva Search this year. When asked, no one within WWE was aware if the company will be going forward with any kind of a contest this year as many felt last year’s fell flat at live arenas and was simply a collection of pre-tapes. Plans are always subject to change, but as of now the expectation is that it will not be held this year. It’s interesting to note that a majority of the current WWE women’s roster all came out of the Diva Search which includes Candice Michelle, Layla, Eve Torres, Maria, Maryse, Michelle McCool, Lena Yada and Tiffany.
