Hurricane Ike Forces WWE to Postpone WrestleMania(R) XXV On-Sale
New on-sale date scheduled for October 11

HOUSTON, Sep 11, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) — World Wrestling Entertainment(R) has postponed the ticket on-sale date for WrestleMania(R) XXV until Saturday, October 11th at 10 a.m. CT. WWE officials made the decision out of concern for the residents of Texas as they prepare for the impact and aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

President George Bush has declared an emergency in Texas and state authorities began ordering evacuations as deadly Hurricane Ike, which strengthened Thursday to a powerful Category Two storm, churned in the Gulf of Mexico toward the Gulf Coast of Texas.
